Today one of my friends sent me this displaying that the account was clearly used for smith botting - whereas I was purely questing on it beforehand. I don't know what kind of 'specialist team' they're running over there that can't pick up a difference in IP or even glance at some kind of data on the account.
So I was told that there was NO EVIDENCE of an account hijacking and that the decision is permanent. I sent an email requesting an appeal through the terrible appeal system and I received this in return:
My friends who are long time big boi players of OSRS all recommended me to appeal it anyway - It was clearly hacked so it should be an easy unban, right? Wrong. I tried out RS3 but swiftly went to OSRS and was having a great time chillin and working my way through the quests - paid for membership etc early April but didn't play a terribly long time before having a break to prepare for the release of TBC Classic which I was also looking forward to playing.įast forward a month and a half or so to 11th June and I thought to myself I kinda fancy logging into RS now I got a bit of time and what did I find? A fat red 'Permanently Banned'Īnother thing to note is that an authenticator was added to my account and I was not emailed at any time to notify me of this at all - so I had to get past that to even access my banned account.
